Drink design center - Training Center - 1883 Maison Routin

DRINK DESIGN CENTER

The Drink Design Center is the beating heart of 1883s expertise, a place of creativity and the sharing of knowledge.

Using all their talents, our Master Syrup Maker and our experts in aromatic blending, identify, define and compose the most complex aromas and flavours using an approach that is both scientific and multi-sensory: texture, color, flavour, taste and smell. Through their research and creativity, they have elevated the creation of flavours to an art form in its own right, where accuracy, excellence and experience are the key words.

The Drink Design Center is also a training center for future Drink Designers. It is here that they discover a new vision of mixology, open themselves to new disciplines and develop new skills.

“Located in the heart of the Alps, our Drink Design Center is a true hub where innovation, research, experimentation, talent and transmission merge.”

Loïc Couilloud, CEO Maison Routin/1883

An immersive space where multi-sensory experience and creativity are king.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM

A specialized curriculum of excellence

Developed and organized within its Training School, the “Drink Design Center“, in La Motte Servolex, France; the “Drink Design®” Program is aimed at professionals wishing to develop new skills in the creation of drinks. It provides a strong foundation to meet the new demands of a discerning clientele in search of excellent drink experiences.

Thanks to this exclusive program, participants will be accompanied by professional Drink Designers. They will develop a new technical, gustatory, experiential and multi-sensory expertise necessary for any mixologist, bartender or barista who already have previous experience in Mixology, Bartending or Coffee Art.

Customized teaching

The course follows an exclusive methodology based on 6 key points. It allows to master the whole spectrum of Drink Design®: its techniques, science and advanced Art. Each session offers a situation involving the creation of 7 key drink experiences. The training takes place over one week and includes 40 hours of classes punctuated by group and individual practical examples. At the end of the course, each participant will take the Grand Exam: the creation of a drink experience in front of a jury of experts.
